Mayor Lou Boudreaux teamed up with Judge Clifford Vacek and a number of others this weekend to fill potholes in Simonton on Saturday, Febuary 20th, 2010.
While Mayor Boudreaux provided the City’s remaining pavement patching material, Judge Vacek provided the tractor and front-end loader to get the material loaded on the trailer.
Simonton Aldermen Jane Stockton and Jeff Young were among the number of other Simonton area residents that also participated and filled a number of potholes through out Simonton.
SimontonTexas.com would like to thank Mayor Boudreaux as well as Judge Vacek and everyone that helped keep our roads safe in Simonton.

A Pothole
Readers Note: Fort Bend County builds and maintains the roads in the City of Simonton through an “Inter local Agreement with the City as it does with other small cities in Fort Bend County. Though this cooperative agreement, the City of Simonton pays for all road-building and repair materials while Fort Bend County agrees to provide and pay for all equipment and manpower. The city submits road building work requests as much as 8 to12 months in advance of the expected road building season in an effort to work with the County’s schedule. In recent years, this process has been unpredictable due to other priorities in the county.
