Fulshear Texas, April 15th, 2009
Across the nation, communities of all sizes held Tea Parties to protest the way that our current President and Congress are wasting tax dollars as well as to rally support for returning to traditional American values. In true American fashion, residents of the communities surrounding Fulshear came together peacefully in downtown Fulshear to add their voices and their support.
Fulshear.com was there to document the event for those who weren’t able to attend. We know that you were there in spirit. We have provided a brief 4 minute video that captures the spirit of the event through interviews, photos and web video.
By the way, we did the best we could with the sound. There is a lot of background and wind noise that we could not overcome.
Governor Perry: “federal government has become oppressive”
When it comes to Texas, Governor Rick Perry has drawn a line in the sand telling the Federal Government that enough is enough.
Governor Perry has expressed his “unwavering support” for HCR 50 by saying:
“That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”
With an obvious groundswell of bi-partisan and public support, Governor Perry now joins 20 other states that have made similar declarations.
